Validation of Machine Calibration

Overview
ATT Metrology Solutions was contracted by OMAX Corporation to help create an interface that lies between the operator/user and the Spatial Analyzer software.

Solution
ATT created a front-end program that successfully used SA to collect a series of points from the machine’s nozzle as the machine traverses around the perimeter of the machine. The software will then convert the data points from the laser’s coordinates to the machine’s coordinate system, and then write the result to a text file used to calibrate and refine the accuracy of OMAX machines.

Results
We successfully reduced the required skill and knowledge needed to perform the calibration by 90% creating the ability to improve the accuracy of OMAX machines across the world effectively and accurately with little to no prior knowledge of the process and Spatial Analyzer.
